Rising Kindergarten Preview/Orientation!

Incoming kindergarteners who turn 5 by September 30th are invited with their parents, to attend a kindergarten preview On Friday May 3rd, from 9-10:30! Meet the principal, assistant principals, counselor, kindergarten teachers, special educators, and instructional assistants.

Register for the Family Summit at Marshall High School on Saturday, April 20. The summit is designed for all families and will focus on providing social-emotional resources for topics such as raising resilient children and making meaningful connections. Also, resources will be available online for families of students with disabilities.

No-Cost Online Tutoring Service

Students have unlimited access to online tutoring support services through Tutor.com at no cost to families. Students can connect online any time, any place, and in most K-12 subjects for however long they need. Tutoring may be on-demand or scheduled at a time convenient for the student and/or family.

Congratulations to first grader Vera Reynolds!! Vera won a Holiday Card Contest at RSM US Foundation and chose Armstrong to receive the $1.000.00 donation prize to enhance the 1st & 2nd grade classroom libraries. Thank you Vera!

Ms. Howell Wins FCPS Cares!

FCPS Cares is an opportunity for parents, staff, and community members to recognize FCPS employees for going above and beyond to help others and show they care. All FCPS Cares submissions were reviewed and winners were selected for the month of May from each region and the central office to receive extra recognition for their work. Armstrong's very own Ms. Stephanie Howell was chosen as a winner from Region 1! Ms. Howell just finished her 13th year teaching at AES!

4th Grade 'Shark Tank' Simulation!

March 09, 2020
Students learned about persuasive writing and media messages while creating a pitch for a new invention and designing its advertisement! The project culminated in a real "shark tank" experience where students presented to a panel of "sharks" who were local business employees ready to give feedback on their inventions.

We are hosting a job fair on Saturday, April 27, 2024 (9 a.m. - 12 p.m.) at Sandburg Middle School. There will be networking and interviewing opportunities with representatives from various FCPS schools. Employment offers may be extended during the fair.
