This school year, Armstrong Elementary School’s ESOL Teacher, Kim Jones, taught an English Language Development workshop for a small group of 5th and 6th grade boys in the CSS program.

Recently, Ms. Jones and her students completed the unit focusing on skills such as comparing and contrasting, describing, making predictions and connections. Using the Dog Man series, Ms. Jones engaged her students in this dynamic learning experience, and everyone had a ton of fun in the process!

To celebrate the end of the academic unit and student success, Ms. Jones and her students decided to celebrate by designing a service project. Together, they worked to create and donate comfy blankets for dogs at the West Ox Animal Shelter. We are sure the pups will be super happy with their new gifts!
