Armstrong vs. Aldrin 6th Grade Basketball Match

The gym at Armstrong Elementary was buzzing with excitement as Armstrong and Aldrin Elementary’s 6th-grade basketball teams went head-to-head in an action-packed showdown. The evening kicked off with the girls’ teams taking the court, showcasing impressive teamwork and determination. Both teams fought hard, keeping the crowd engaged with each basket. Halftime brought a fun twist as staff members from both schools took part in a foul shot competition. Armstrong’s Principal Mr. Quinn, Assistant Principal Mr. Cicciarelli, and teachers Mr. Andre, Mr. Owens, and Ms. Faith joined Aldrin’s staff in a friendly showdown that had the crowd laughing and cheering. After halftime, the boys’ teams took over, bringing even more intensity to the court. Strong defense and quick plays kept the game close until the final buzzer, with both teams showing great sportsmanship.


Both schools’ “hype squads,” made up of 3rd to 6th graders, kept the energy alive throughout the night. They led cheers, waved posters, and encouraged their teams, adding to the excitement in the gym. The night was about celebrating teamwork, sportsmanship, and school pride. Armstrong and Aldrin Elementary came together for a memorable evening of fun and friendly competition that left students, staff, and families with smiles and lasting memories.
