FCPS Cares
FCPS Cares is an opportunity for parents, staff, and community members to recognize FCPS employees for going above and beyond to help others and show they care. We invite you to submit your story so we can all acknowledge the good work of FCPS employees.
Business and Community Partnerships
The Business and Community Partnerships office’s primary functions are to recruit and supports Ignite Partnerships, serve as a liaison to local Chambers of Commerce and other community organizations, help lead the annual Collect for Kids school supply drive, manage the FCPS Donations Portal for donated goods, and promote the Savings for Staff merchant discount program.
In the last decade, the Business & Community Partnerships team has helped secure over ten million dollars in donations of money and valued goods through partnerships and direct donations, not including the value of volunteer hours contributed by partners and mentors.

GREAT Art (1-2 hours every 2 months)
-
Teach an art lesson in your child's class! GREAT Art (Greater Reston Elementary School Art) is a PTA sponsored art enrichment program. The students explore various art themes and artists ranging from ancient and classical art to contemporary and modern.
No artistic skills are needed for volunteers - just a love of expanding our students' knowledge and enjoying interacting with your child's class!
There is an in-class session which is 30-60 mins long, four times in the school year. The volunteer-led GREAT Art session comprises of a short PowerPoint presentation ready to go with age-appropriate notes. The students then work on an art project inspired by the artist/theme. The GREAT Art coordinator provides the PowerPoint, visuals, art supplies, and instructions. The art projects are designed for children in the kindergarten- sixth grade age range and are a lot of fun.
For questions and to sign up please email the GREAT Art chair, Emma Khan at @email.
