On Thursday, February 22^nd band students from Armstrong Elementary performed the national anthem in front of the school board assembly prior to their meeting. It has been a long-standing tradition for music ensembles throughout the county to perform in front of the assembly, but a rare opportunity for elementary level instrumentalists to do so. It was a special service to our county for our students to perform. Students have been preparing for this performance since October and had the opportunity to utilize advanced ensemble skills and techniques. A special thank you to the administrators and teachers who came to hear us play.
